Heavyweight title fight – Main event: Patch Garcia (7-0, 4-0 SFF) vs. Steen Christensen (9-2, 2-1 SFF)

The tale of Patch Garcia’s run as the SFF heavyweight champion is one of the most awe-inspiring you can imagine, in his run he has beaten up some truly great strikers and knockout artists to cement his position as one of the greatest kick boxers in Finnish MMA, the SFF is running out of contenders, but Steen Christensen is still in the title picture, having beaten the great Ron Jeremy twice the Danish kick boxer is a proven contender, but even with that, can Christensen, who has eight knockouts in nine wins, stop what has so far seemed unstoppable?

Predicted’s prediction: Steen Christensen is the strongest fighter Garcia has fought, at least on paper, if Garcia can connect with a big strike first he may be able to win, but I have an inkling that this is the end of the undefeated streak for Patch Garcia.

Heavyweight – Co main event: "Big Mooo" Guntur Llaripukinen (5-0, 1-0 SFF) vs. Ron "Meatball" Jeremy (8-4, 2-2 SFF)

Both Jeremy’s losses in the SFF has come to the man who is now fighting for the title on the same card, Steen Christensen, Christensen exposed a big hole in Jeremy’s game, which is his accuracy, his gameplan is usually to grab a hold of his opponents and slice them up with his elbows, but when you only connect with one tenth of what you throw countering becomes an easy task. Still, Jeremy is extremely dangerous with his national level wrestling background, and if you can’t get out of the clinch, then you’re screwed. And that seems to be exactly what will be troubling Guntur Llaripukinen, who is a decent boxer, a decent grappler, but has never shown any significant strengths in the clinch, his greatest hope is to go all out and hope he can knock Jeremy silly before he can even think of tying the two up.

Predicted’s prediction: Jeremy by KTFO.

Middleweight: Jeff "Rumble" Ramrod (9-5-1, 3-2 SFF) Vs. Rick "The Baussss" Ross (5-2, 2-1 SFF)

Rick Ross’ options to end the fight are many, he is known to compete and do well in BJJ, on top of that his wrestling in top notch, and in his last fight he showed just how good his hands have gotten, to top it off all his victories are TKOs, proving that allowing Ross to go through with his gameplan is extremely hazardous to your short term memory. Jeff Jamrod is in a similar situation, his BJJ is very good and he is prone to knock people silly on his feet, and especially in the clinch, but if you’re stupid enough to clinch against a wrestler of Ross’ caliber you probably take the short bus. I see Ramrod boxing for a bit then trying to take Ross down to get a submission, if that is successful or not remains to be seen.

Predicted’s prediction: Ross by TKO, he is simply too good a wrestler to not decide where the fight takes place, which will give him the advantage he needs.

Middleweight: Katten Jansson (5-2, 4-2 SFF) vs. Oswaldo "Sonny" Sanchez (6-2, 4-2 SFF)

The careers of Katten Jansson and Oswaldo Sanchez are remarkably similar, they both went three fights in the SFF without tasting defeat, but recently they both have had two losses in their last three fights and are coming of a defeat each. But their styles are vastly different, Jansson is a ground and pounder, who gets on top and punches you repeatedly in the face and is very hard to deal with once he gets on top, while Sanchez is your typical sprawl and brawler, decent wrestler with decent striking. And it is in the wrestling that the fight will be decided, if Sanchez can avoid Jansson’s takedowns then he will obviously win, he has the better striking by far and should have no problem sending Jansson on a losing streak, the same thing can be said Jansson for the ground fight though, so Sanchez is in no way the undisputed favorite.

Predicted’s prediction: I think Sanchez will knock Jansson out.

Featherweight: Paul "The Apex" Martin (3-1, 2-0 SFF) vs. Keiko Nakatomi (3-3, SFF debut)

Critics would maybe say that Keiko Nakatomi doesn’t have any business being in the same ring as Paul Martin, yes, every fight he has won ahs ended by knockout, but his chin has also cost him two fights in his six fight career something the keyboard warriors have clearly noticed. Nakatomi is here to prove them all wrong though, and on the expense on up and coming all-rounder Paul Martin. Martin competed in Blitzkrieg’s TUF tournament, where sixty-four fighters competed, he only got to the second round, but has improved by heaps and bounds since that time, his wrestling and grappling are his main keys to victory, and it is all down to Nakatomi to avoid the takedowns, if he can’t he will lose.

Predicted’s prediction: I have a feeling Paul will ground and pound Nakatomi to a little pulp.

Middleweight: Roman "Caesar" Empire (10-8,2-2 SFF) vs. "Neli" Sumali Prasoetram (7-6, 0-1 SFF)

Roman Empire really amazed me in his last fight where he proved exactly how dangerous his takedowns are when he won by a monstrous slam in only one minute. The Muay Thai specialsit Sumali Prasoetram will beyond any doubt want to avoid getting taken down by Empire, he will instead work from a distance chopping away at Empire’s legs taking away his base and grind him down against the cage.

Predicted’s prediction: I see the underdog Sumali Prasoetram winning this one by decision actually.

Middlweight: "Muscles From Brussels" Jean Claude Van Varen Berg (3-1, SFF debut) vs. Hostrel Von Straztle (8-5, 7-5 SFF)

You can say many things about Hostrel Von Straztle, but he keeps trying, the original SFF middleweight champion has fought all, but one of his fights in the SFF, an while the submission wrestler has lost five of his last six, people still remember his early run and the vicious submissions that made him a fan favorite early on. While the spell of an undefeated record is long since broken Von Strazlte is still a decent gatekeeper, and a win against him is always a good stepping stone for future SFF stars, something the Belgian Jean Claude Van Varen Berg will be banking on. The kick boxer is incredible when standing, but has never been tested on his ground work, and with the grappling experience of Van Straztle this could turn out to be an interesting affair between two one dimensional fighters.

Predicted’s prediction: I think Jean Claude Van Varen Berg’s best option is the clinch, if Von Straztle takes him down he may very well leave with a one less limb than when he arrived, but still I think Van Varen Berg will knock the former champion out.

Welterweight: "The Tundra Bomber" Reijo Ryti (7-2, 2-2 SFF) vs. Larry "Diesel" Grant (2-3, 1-3 SFF)

There isn’t much to be said about these two strikers, they both seem to think that training is for losers, thus neither is affiliated with a gym, both seem to just go out there come fight time and give it their best shot, needless to say neither are anywhere close to championmaterial, but they can give the fans entertaining scraps nonetheless.

Predictedæs prediction: Reijo Ryti by KO.

Heavyweight: "The hammer and sickle" Ivan Danko (3-0, 1-0 SFF) vs. Joe "Lighting" Quick (10-9, 1-1 SFF)

Ivan Danko is one of the scariest looking up and comers in the heavyweight divisions, he is just starting out his career after training for a long time, but it seems to be paying off now. The former amateur boxer has finished all three of his fights in the first round, all by knockout, and if his runs continues he will be a serious threat to the upper brackets of the division. Joe Quick however wants a say in Danko’s future career prospects. While his career haven’t been exactly what you would call successful , he is a very skilled kick boxer who can knock out just about anyone on a good day.

Predicted’s prediction: Even so I think Danko will walk all over Quick and win by another first round knockout.

Light heavyweight: John "The Beast" Bachelor (3-2, 3-2 SFF) vs. Jake "The Snake" Valhala (4-2, 4-2 SFF)

This is a very simple matchup, Bachelor is a decent all-rounder who has shown that his hands have good knockout power in them, if he is able to determine where the fight takes place he wins it, Valhala is a one dimensional wrestler who has made a living out of taking people to the ground and punching them in the face. Both fighters are coming off a loss and to avoid having their careers take a serious detour they must win tonight.

Predicted’s prediction: Somehow I think Bachelor will knock Valhala out.
